Walk through Göteborg and you’ll pass kings, warriors, scholars and poets cast in bronze. Thirty of them are men. Four are women.

That’s not history — that’s an editing decision. And it’s been left unchallenged for a century.

SculptHer is a live proposal to correct the record without waiting for a committee, a commission or a foundry. It would immortalise the women who built this city and those shaping what comes next — placing them on plinths in the squares and open spaces where monuments have always belonged.

Rather than copper and marble, we sculpt in code. AR markers would appear across the city. Through your phone, each plinth would come alive: a remarkable woman, her story, her place.

No permits. No bronze. No decade-long approval process. A whole gallery of women could be installed across Göteborg overnight and launched on International Women’s Day.

It would be a monument you could walk to. A map you could follow. And proof that the tools to rewrite public space are already in everyone’s pocket.
